Lecture Launches Physics Unit For Year 10 |
|
Monday, 23 January 2012 10:09 |
|
On Thursday, year 10 students were lucky enough to have a guest lecture from Mr Bonella of the Institute of Physics. Demonstrations of different areas of physics were aided by willing volunteers, and the audience was invited to explain why these effects occur. Mr Bonella was kind enough to run the session twice, once to each half of the year during their normal science lesson time.
Students got to see how physics relates to the real world around them, launching them into the Core GCSE Physics unit they have begun studying in lessons.
Many thanks to staff and students for welcoming our guest and lending us their lesson time!
