A summary of the Governing Body's Statement of Curriculum Aims for the school is available on request from the school office. In drawing up the document the Governors have taken into consideration the requirements of the National Curriculum. The school and staff are constantly re-examining what is taught and where necessary, bringing in new courses or making amendments to existing ones to ensure that the National Curriculum requirements are met.

At Cardinal Newman School specialist teachers work in departments with facilities to deliver the best possible education programme for the pupils. Generally pupils move around the site to the specialist areas. We operate a two week timetable consisting of thirty lessons each week. Parents have the opportunity to talk to staff and find out about their child's programme at various meetings or visits to the school throughout the year.
